  1. Media Panel
  2. Cameras Panel
  3. Audio Panel
  4. Chroma Key Panel

We will cover each Panel below.

Adding & Managing Media

Cinamaker's full media engine lets you easily add, control, and adjust images, video clips, text, graphics, audio tracks, and group layers

In this video, we will go over all the basics you’ll need to know get started… but if you need help with the advanced media features Cinamaker has to offer like picture in picture images and video, adding audio files, and facebook polls...Visit the Learning Center in the start screen menu, or at https://support.Cinamaker.com/support/home.

To start, lets add an image.

First, go ahead and tap the farthest left icon in the Features menu panel labeled “Media”, and then tap the plus sign next to Add Media, and select “Image”.

A popup screen will appear, and from there, tap “+Add Image”. Now you’ll have access to your iPad or Mac’s Camera Roll or File System.

Once you select an image, it will immediately appear in the Preview Monitor where you’ll be able to the control placement, size and appearance by pinching and moving the image. You also have the ability to make it full screen by taping expand...Rotate it, add a border, and select a transition effect to how you’d like your image to enter and exit frame by hitting “Wipe”.

You can also assign it to the camera sources you’d like the image to be displayed by selecting and deselecting the camera icons in the top right.  Once you have placed the image and optimized your settings, hit save at the top right.

This is also how you'd add and edit graphics as well.

Now lets add a video.

To do so, take the same steps you took to add an image.

The only difference is when you select add movie, and go to select from your local storage, you’ll need to import your video first.  Once it’s imported you’ll be able to select a video and it will appear in the Preview Monitor.

Adding text is just as easy.

Select the Media Menu panel, hit Add Media, and select “Text.  A text field will appear and allow you to type anything you’d like.

You’ll then simply be able to :

  • Adjust the position of your text by pinching and moving the text.
  • Adjust color, font style, and sizing by hitting “font” and selecting your desired look.
  • Add a background color by selecting “fill”
  • And add transition effects by hitting “Wipe”.

When you’re done, once again hit save in the top right.

So now at this point, you will see all your added media elements appear in the Media Menu panel.

And with your cameras connected and in the Preview Monitors, you can turn your text and media on/off by simply tapping the "eyeball" icon to the immediate left of the element you’ve added to the Media Menu panel.

And for videos, while recording, you’ll need to tap the "eyeball" icon and then tap the Play button when cueing up your video. You’ll also be able to control you video’s audio levels by tapping and adjusting the Volume slider.

To adjust and edit your added media item, simply select it from the media panel and you’ll be able to edit and perfect its appearance in settings.

Cameras Panel

In the second menu panel next to the media engine you’ll find the camera menu. Here you’ll find a list of your connected iOS and digital cameras.

To control your iOS cameras, simply tap on the desired iPhone or iPad, and you’ll be able to remotely control the camera's zoom, adjust exposure, ISO, the camera’s flashlight, and more by using the slide controls. You can also select your white balance and focus mode between automatic and manual and select each camera’s bitrate settings.

Also just be aware that this feature only controls iOS cameras, so if you are using HDMI-connected digital cameras, you’ll need to adjust and control them manually.

When recording, all you need to do is tap the desired camera tile to cut between cameras. You’ll also be able to add transition effects between cuts by tapping “wipe” menu panel and setting the desired effect.

Controlling Audio

Meeting Director’s Audio mixer is where you’ll control your Audio inputs coming from your Mac, iOS devices, digital Cameras, and any external audio devices. Here you’ll be able to mix and control your volume levels and avoid unnecessary echo effects.

With Cinamaker, you can capture audio in multiple ways. Either from your Mac’s built-in microphone, your iOS built-in microphones, or by using external microphones and audio mixers.

In all cases your audio must be routed through devices running Cinamaker Capture. And with Cinamaker you can use up to 8 iOS devices running Cinamaker Capture

To open the in-app audio mixer tap the musical note icon to the right of the camera menu.

Similar to the camera menu, you’ll see a list of your connected audio capture devices.  You can adjust and optimize your audio mix by turning up and down the volume levels using the slide controls.

You should plan to set at least one of your capture devices as your primary audio source and turn the others down because too many mics overlapping can create an unwanted echo effect in your video.

Audio is critical to every production, and with Cinamaker, we recommend you set and monitor your audio mix before and while recording.

Headphones plugged into your iPad or Mac are also important for monitoring your audio during recording and live streaming. This will give you the best chance at monitoring your audio to ensure the best quality audio for your video.
